Earn Passive Blog Income with Infolinks and Amazon Associates Easily

Are you looking for ways to make your blog pay? Google AdSense isn't your only option. This article discusses two other potential sources of passive income for your blog -- Infolinks and Amazon Associates -- and how to make the most of them. One or both may be right for you.

Almost all bloggers knew that when it comes to earning income from your blog, the best approach would be to become a Google AdSense publisher. If your website is well optimized in terms of SEO, then the traffic can definitely contribute to good Google AdSense earnings.

However, if you are looking to maximize your blog's passive income, then Google AdSense is not enough. This is where you might consider two good alternatives in earning additional passive income for your blog: Infolinks and Amazon Associates.

Those that are not financially savvy might ask, what is "passive income"? Passive income is a form of income that goes into your pocket even if you are not working. Of course, this does NOT mean that you will not do any work at all. There is still work to be done, but you are rewarded even you are not at work.

This is the opposite of "active income." An active income is what you get from your day job's pay check, because companies implement a "no work, no pay" policy. Selling goods and services online would also provide an active income.

A passive blog income, even though it appears to be small, can be a great help in improving your financial condition in the long run. When you are on a long vacation due to an illness, your blog will still continue to accrue passive income.

This is a tutorial is for beginners on how to get started with Infolinks and Amazon Associates properly without affecting the search engine optimization status of the website.

Important Requirement to Get Started: Content Quantity and Quality

Some bloggers go crazy with Google AdSense, Infolinks and Amazon Associates. Right away, they jump to putting these banners and links all over their blog. But they ignore the most important thing for the readers, namely the quality and quantity of  the blog's content.

Yes, before you start putting up these banners and affiliate links, you need to examine your blog's status -- the number and quality of the posts you have. As a guide, answer the following three questions.

How old is your blog? If your blog is still a month old, don't rush into being an Infolinks publisher or Amazon associate; instead, build quality content and get traffic through organic search engine optimization. There is no shortcut. You need to read a lot about SEO and apply these things positively on your blog. You can learn a lot in a shorter amount of time by reading SEO Chat articles here or hanging out in SEO Chat's forums

Expect to do a lot of hard work building your blog. This stage can last for six months to a year straight, depending on your commitment and how frequently you update your blog. The objective of your SEO effort is to bring in as many organic visitors from the search engines as you can.

Do you really have a content/text-based blog? Some blogs are informal and authors are not serious about adding an ample amount of original content per post (a good ballpark figure is around 500 words per blog post). Bear in mind that Infolinks and Amazon Associates work best with content-based blogs, and NOT with blogs which are just full of videos and images.

Are you really committed to writing in original content? Infolinks and Amazon Associates require their blog publisher to have original content. If you are the type of blogger that loves to syndicate a substantial amount of content from other websites, then it will be harder for you to earn a lot of passive income or even become a publisher with Infolinks and Amazon Associates.
