Google`s Pet Scam Conspiracy - Their Suspicous Rankings
(Page 4 of 5 )
As was mentioned above, the sites do extremely well locking up the top positions for most pet related keyword terms on Google. Here are some examples that are bolstered by the stuffed award cheat shown above:
Dogs # 1 - 80,500,000 results (Google)
Dogs for sale # 1 - 13,000,000 results (Google)
Dog Breeders # 1 - 2,760,000 results (Google)
Dogs wanted #1 - 15,600,000 results (Google)
Dog names #5 - 21,900,000 results (Google)
Dog shirts # 1 - 21,200,000 results (Google)
Pet tags # 1 - 3,340,000 results (Google)
This one is killer, and if it doesn't spell Google fraud then nothing does. The site ranks for Pet Supplies # 10 - 56,500,000 results (Google). This, despite the fact that there was at the time of this writing no content except a "coming soon" page. http://www.terrificpets.com/pet_supplies.
Not to be outdone, and of course following the competition who happens to cheat, http://www.nextdaypets.com decided that the same idea was one that would work well for them.
Using the "Web award" scam, www.nextdaypets.com is now ranking very well on Google. Below are just a few examples of their top rankings. If you look at their “Link to us page” (http://www.nextdaypets.com/linktous.aspx), you can see how they lace their awards/banners with outgoing links to unsuspecting pet owners. The “Web award” icon is not on their site; I believe they email this scam to pet owners.
Dog Products #1 - 47,200,000 results (Google)
Dogs # 4 - 80,500,000 results (Google)
Dog Supplies # 1 - 14,200,000 results (Google)
Dog toys # 2 - 16,800,000 results (Google)
Dog Doors # 3 - 10,600,000 results (Google)
Dog Breeds # 3 - 4,500,000 results (Google)
Pet Supplies # 5 - 54,800,000 results (Google)
To see “web awards,” “banners” and “web rings” in action for both companies, point your browser to http://www.thelongcoatshepherd.com. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. On the far left bottom is the terrificpets.com award and on the right are two awards from nextdaypets.com. At this point we have been unable to find a connection between www.nextdaypets.com and www.terrificpets.com through "who is" research. However, noticing the similar ways that the spammers work it seems almost too similar. Add to that the fact that they are not targeting the same key words, and it seems as if a larger conspiracy is at hand.
