SEO for Firefox allows you to bring valuable market research information into search engines’ results, such as Yahoo or Google. Here are some of the tools that will give you the market research data you are looking for. Use Google’s PR (PageRank) to get a gauge on global link authority. Take advantage of Age, which displays the first time that Archive.org’s spider indexed the page.
You can use Link, which shows an approximate estimate of the total number of links that point to the domain. Take advantage of the .edu Link or .edu Page Link to get an estimated count of either the total number of .edu links pointing to a domain or .edu links pointing to a particular page, respectively. You can use Technorati to get an estimated total number of links to a website from blogs. If you are focused on Internet marketing, use Alexa to get an idea of website traffic.
SEO for Firefox also has links on which you can click for keyword research tools. These are located right below the search box. You can use Google Trends for viewing and analyzing historical search volume trends. Use Overture View Bid’s link so you can see Yahoo!’s top bid prices for a specific keyword.
If you need to cross reference keyword research tools, then use the SEO Book Keyword Research Tool. The Google Keyword Sandbox is Google’s keyword research tool. The Google Traffic Estimator allows you to see the top bid estimated. You can also use selected volume estimates that are related to Google Ad Words.
You don’t need to reinstall the extension in order to install an update. Instead, it periodically updates when developers have developed new features. It will also update when search engines modify their search results.
To perform an update, you must be in the Firefox browser. Click on the Tools in the tool bar. Click on the extensions menu. Now, you are in the Extensions window. Click on the Find Updates button. If SEO for Firefox has an available update, you will see the Update Now button; it will be located on the right side of the extension. All you need to do is click on it.
